Tournament Information and Results Updated: 01/21/01 Contact information Tournament Dates and Results The Southern Ohio Walleye Club was established in 1996. We are based in East Central Ohio. Our goals are to promote and enjoy the sport of Walleye, Saugeye and Sauger fishing. We primarily fish the reservoirs in the Eastern half of Ohio such as Tappan Lake, Mosquito Lake, Piedmont Lake & Seneca Lake to name a few. We concentrate our efforts on tournament fishing. We love the opportunity to fish in a competitive environment, while keeping it on a friendly level. We share lots of information among club members and promote the new ideas and techniques that work. We send out monthly newsletters and hold an annual year-end banquet and awards ceremony. We invite any and all to come & join our club & we feel we have alot to offer as a fishing club. We will be fishing a 6 event schedule in the 2001 season. We will also host 2 opens in 2001, one of which will be sponsored by Cabela's/NAWA. The winning team of this event will qualify to fish a 200 team invitational tournament hosted by Cabela's/NAWA with a total cash payout of $125,000. ($25,000 for 1st Place) The Southern Ohio Walleye Club will sponsor the entry fees to this event for the winners of our Open. As another part of our partnership with Cabela's/NAWA in 2001, our clubs' team point champions for the year will also qualify for the Cabela's/NAWA Invitational with the club paying the entry fees. This is an opportunity for the average fisherman to be able to fis the kind of event that he or she has only dreamed about while watching the fishing shows on ESPN2.
