Shabbona Lake Report

It has been one great year for bass here. Bass are still being caught on the weedlines using plastic worms. Wacky rigged senkos are working well on the deeper weedlines and the shallower trees. Other do-nothing worms are also working. Bass fishing is considered fair during the day and good during the low light periods of the day.

Bass are being caught in numbers diring the low light periods of the day in the slop using swamp frogs and mice. 

Walleyes are being caught on the hump in the east bay and over the rocks using leeches at dawn and dusk. Some larger walleyes are being caught in the deep trees and an occasional big boy is being caught on a weedline. Walleye fishing is fair.
