United States Fishing Association, conducted its 3rd event of the 2001 season, on November, 12, 2000, at Ottawa, Illinois. The team of Joe Mitchtell, and Phill Trager, from Ottawa, Illinois, finished in first place with 4 fish weighing, 9 pounds, and 2 ounces. Second place honors, went to Ron Brake and Jeff Fore, of Springfield, Illinois, with 3 fish weighing, 7 pounds, and 14 ounces. 3rd place honors, went to Roy Perez, and Troy Tregoning, from Depue, Illinois with 7 pounds, and 8 ounces. They also had big fish honors of the tournament, with a 5 pound 10 ounce walleye. Rounding out the top 5 were, Steve Hunter, and Don Farrell, from Ottawa, Illinois, with 6 pounds, and 2 ounces, for 4th place, and in 5th place, was the team of Rory Barconi, and Dan Plautz, from Spring Valley, Illinois
with 5 pounds and 6 ounces. Joe Mitchell and Phil Trager, caught their fish pitching jigs and minnows, up at the Marseilles dam.
The next Team Walleye tournament, will be two one-day tournaments, on December 9, and 10, 2000, at Barto Landing, in Spring Valley, Illinois.
