ICE FISHING VACATION/SCHOOL January 9-12 2005 Houghton, MI Upper Peninsula Cost for the 3 day school: $525.00 per person includes:
This event will be held on the Keweenaw Waterway-Portage & Torch Lakes, if enough ice, Keweenaw Bay for Lake Trout. 50 applicants maximum, 12 applicants per instructor Instructors for this event are Mark Martin, Mike Gofron, Ross Grothe, Mark Brumbaugh. Each instructor will be designated by the color of “arm band” each will be wearing along with “flag” on their individual vehicle. Applicants will receive arm band and marker flag compatible to instructor for easy recognition. Various sponsors will be demonstrating products along with use of equipment during the school. Monitoring by instructor, setting up of equipment, instructions for use, jigging techniques, tip-up use, etc. Instructors to fish with applicants as they make their rounds on the ice. Applicants will need to bring – Ice tent or house, auger, ice fishing equipment, rod, reels, tackle, proper clothing, etc. ATV of some sort, as use of car/truck will not be possible. Two man heated ice houses will be available for rent at $50.00 a day, an ATV ride to transport you plus equipment round trip out on ice or to permanent house $25.00 a day.
